## Description

POWERBOX Muay Thai is a martial arts and fitness studio in Whittier, California, founded by four-time Muay Thai champion Christopher “The Machine Gun” Moorings, who serves as owner and master instructor. The studio uses training inspired by professional fighters to help participants build fitness and develop practical skills. Its 45-minute classes are described as burning approximately 500 to 750 calories.

Programs include Muay Thai Kickboxing A, which teaches punching, kicking, elbow, and knee techniques while developing cardio, strength, balance, and control. Level B advances students’ training with partner work focused on low kicks, checking, evasive movement, and strategy; shin guards are required. POWERBOX also offers women-only kickboxing classes and semi-private training for focused work on specific techniques, with groups of no more than five.

Classes are offered six days a week at various times, and training starts at $18 per class. New participants can take a trial class; hand wraps and gloves are available to borrow for the first session.
