## Description

Port Phillip Bicycle Users’ Group (Port Phillip BUG) is a local community group representing the views and needs of people who ride bicycles in and around Port Phillip, Victoria. The group advocates for improved cycling conditions and works to give local riders a voice. Its activities include lobbying, electing a committee, holding public meetings and organising social rides.

Port Phillip BUG welcomes people interested in meeting fellow cyclists and building their bicycle skills. Its rides are leisurely, with the pace matched to the needs of the group. Participants are encouraged to bring suitable clothing, water, snacks and other essentials. Details of upcoming rides and meetings are shared through the group’s mailing list; enquiries can also be sent to portphillipbug@gmail.com.

Meetings are usually held at 6.30 pm on the first Tuesday of each month at the Port Phillip Ecocentre in St Kilda, and all are welcome. The group is active by email and on social media, and acknowledges support from the City of Port Phillip.
