The Philippine Pediatric Society, Inc. (PPS) is a specialized division of the Philippine Medical Association (PMA) and a trusted professional organization for physicians dedicated to the care of newborns, infants, children, and adolescents. Established in 1947 by seven visionary pediatricians, the society has grown to include 6,581 members spread across the country as of September 2021. Committed to advancing the field of pediatric healthcare, PPS focuses on training, research, and advocacy. With nine chapters representing all regions and provinces of the Philippines, it also encompasses eleven pediatric subspecialty societies, one affiliate society, and five sections. PPS is affiliated with prestigious international organizations such as the International Pediatric Association (IPA), the Asia Pacific Pediatric Association (APPA), and the ASEAN Pediatric Federation. Through its comprehensive range of programs, PPS strives to provide optimal medical care to young patients and support their overall well-being.
