## Description

QDAY is a standalone proof-of-work blockchain built around BLAKE2b-256 mining and a fixed challenge designed to respond to the arrival of quantum computing. Its mainnet is live, with blocks targeted every 60 seconds and a reward of 8 QDAY plus fees. The project describes itself as having no venture capital or presale and publishes its protocol and source code for public review.

QDAY’s design combines standard Ed25519 signatures with a reserve SLH-DSA signature. If the network’s public challenge is solved, the proof can be submitted through a wallet and confirmed on-chain. The chain then changes its displayed denomination, while balances remain subject to a recurring ownership process: outputs are shielded initially and decay over time unless defended using the wallet.

The project offers graphical wallets that include a full node and CPU miner, as well as standalone node software for several operating systems. Users can also access an explorer, mining pool, QDAY Swap, and public code and releases. Its stated aim is to make post-quantum readiness an open, community-visible event.
