## Description

PrECOG, LLC is a cancer research group formed in 2006 as a not-for-profit limited liability company by ECOG Research and Education Foundation, Inc. It develops and leads clinical research intended to advance cancer care and offer new hope to patients and their families. Working with physician research leaders, research groups, and industry partners, PrECOG designs, implements, and publishes clinical trial results to address changing patient needs and deepen understanding of cancer. Its research spans all phases of clinical trials. The organization supports the broader mission of the ECOG-ACRIN Cancer Research Group: advancing cancer research, reducing the burden of cancer, and improving patients’ quality of life and survival. PrECOG operates outside the public health system, with a separate structure for managing clinical trials, and is governed by a Board of Managers. It typically serves as regulatory sponsor and may share or transfer research responsibilities through collaborations. Its work follows standard operating procedures aligned with FDA regulations and ICH/GCP guidelines.
