Their story began in 1989 with the creation of Dublin's first all-suite hotel, Stephen's Hall Hotel, which is now one of PREM Group's iconic properties known as PREMIER SUITES.

The brand was founded by Jim Murphy, the General Manager of Stephen's Hall Hotel, along with two Aer Lingus pilots, Peter Redden and Gerry McNulty. Under the leadership of CEO Jim Murphy, PREM Group formed valuable partnerships with Choice Hotels and Wyndham Worldwide, allowing for property expansion into the UK and Belgium. This expansion led to the development of the renowned serviced apartment brand, PREMIER Apartments, as well as the introduction of well-known hotel brands like Days Inn, Days Hotel, and Ramada.

In 2006, PREM Group ventured into mainland Europe with the acquisition of a small hotel group in Antwerp, which included the Astoria Hotel, Leopold Hotel, and Ramada Plaza Hotel. This acquisition marked the beginning of further growth, incorporating nine additional properties operating under the Crowne Plaza, Holiday Inn, and Holiday Inn Express brands. Understanding the evolving needs of hoteliers and operators, PREM Group introduced Trinity Hospitality Services in 2009.
