## Description

Prepara Familia is a Venezuelan humanitarian organization dedicated to protecting the dignity and fundamental rights of vulnerable children, adolescents, women and their families. Its work began at Hospital J. M. de los Ríos, initially celebrating the lives of children with chronic illnesses, and has grown into a broader effort to accompany and support vulnerable communities.

The organization offers an integrated set of programs. Its Center for Nutritional Protection provides free nutritional care for children and adolescents, as well as breastfeeding counseling for pregnant and nursing women. The Psychosocial Unit offers legal advice and psychological support to children, adolescents and women. Programs for women caregivers include vocational training, violence prevention and leadership development, while support groups create safe spaces for adolescents and their mothers. Prepara Familia also documents human rights violations affecting the hospital community and assists children and adolescents with non-communicable diseases, and their families, in public hospitals in Caracas.
