## Description

Preservation Park Cities is a 501(c)(3) organization dedicated to celebrating and preserving the architecture, history, aesthetics, and cultural traditions of the Park Cities. Through its programs and community initiatives, the organization helps sustain the area’s distinctive character and share its heritage with residents and future generations.

Its work includes a landmarking initiative that recognizes homes and homeowners committed to preserving the community’s architectural assets. The organization also presents oral history interviews with long-standing and influential community members, highlighting the people and places that have shaped the Park Cities. Educational offerings include publications such as A House for Texas and Houses of the Park Cities, an education series, and scholarships for Highland Park ISD seniors planning to study architecture or history. Funds raised also support preservation and maintenance of archives at the University Park Library and a Distinguished Chair for History at Highland Park High School.

Community events include the Park Cities Car Show, Distinguished Speaker Luncheon, Holiday Party, and Historic Home Tour.
