## Description

Prestwich Carnival is a community celebration serving Prestwich and the surrounding areas, with a history spanning more than a century. Held each summer at St Mary’s Park, the carnival brings residents and visitors together for a family-friendly programme of entertainment, activities and local events. The next announced carnival dates are Saturday 26 and Sunday 27 June 2027.

Highlights include the Joseph Holt Grand Parade, which travels through the streets of Prestwich, alongside live music on the Main Stage and a fun fair. Visitors can also enjoy a variety of stalls, a community craft fair, children’s donkey rides, free activities for children and a charity dog show. The event provides a platform for community participation and offers an enjoyable day out for families.

Prestwich Carnival is supported by sponsors and donations. The organisers invite contributions of any size, with all donations directed to carnival funds to help support the community event. Businesses and other supporters can also contact the team to enquire about sponsoring the 2027 carnival.
