## Description

Příběhy našich sousedů is an educational initiative launched by the non-profit organization Post Bellum. This unique program is designed for eighth- and ninth-grade students, as well as students in multi-year gymnasiums, encouraging them to engage with local history through personal narratives. Participants interview seniors, capture their memories, digitize photographs, and explore archives to create compelling radio, television, or written reports and documentaries.

In addition to fostering intergenerational dialogue, the program showcases student projects to the community, enhancing local relationships and histories. It offers a wealth of resources for teachers, including methodologies, instructional videos, and past student works to inspire future participants. The initiative aligns well with local educational strategies and has seen significant involvement, with over 236 cities engaged and nearly 3,500 documented stories. Through Příběhy našich sousedů, students not only learn but also contribute meaningfully to the preservation of their community’s history.
