## Description

Primary is an AI research and product company based in St. Louis, Missouri, with a history of connecting people to technology since 1996. The company says it has helped communities navigate successive internet waves, from dial-up and broadband to fiber and cloud services. Today, Primary is developing AI agents designed to complete tasks rather than simply provide information.

Its flagship product, PrimaryEDU, brings agentic AI to students, teachers, schools, and districts. Students can use a personal agent for research, writing, scheduling, and inbox tasks, with per-student pricing offered at $10 per month for users with a verified school email. For schools and districts, PrimaryEDU includes an administrative dashboard, bulk provisioning, single sign-on, usage controls, and teacher- and grade-level breakdowns.

Primary emphasizes privacy and education-specific safeguards. The company states that its services are designed for FERPA, COPPA, and state student-data privacy requirements, and that student work is not used to train AI models. Districts can also request data deletion.
