PRINTO, the Paediatric Rheumatology INternational Trials Organisation, is a non-profit research network founded in 1996 by Alberto Martini and Nicolino Ruperto. Originally spanning 14 European countries, PRINTO now boasts 2054 members from 726 centres across 95 countries worldwide. Based in Genoa, PRINTO aims to facilitate and coordinate multi-centre international clinical trials and outcome standardisation studies in children with paediatric rheumatic diseases (PRD). The organization collaborates with pharmaceutical companies, conducts research projects like the STARS Trial and the JIA classification study, and is part of initiatives such as conect4children (c4c). Additionally, PRINTO is involved in pharmacovigilance projects and the HyperPED-COVID Registry.
