## Description

Prism is a brand that believes justice requires the full story. Established in 2019, Prism was born out of the recognition that the status quo media landscape was not reflecting enough of the truth and was not bringing us closer to our vision of collective liberation and justice. By disrupting and dismantling toxic narratives, Prism aims to uncover the hard truths of injustice alongside the people who are directly impacted by it. They provide a platform for people of color to share their own stories and those of their communities. With in-depth and thought-provoking journalism, Prism reflects the lived experiences of those most affected by injustice. As an independent and nonprofit newsroom led by journalists of color, they aim to disrupt harmful narratives and inform movements for justice. Their vision is collective liberation and justice for historically oppressed people and communities. Prism values truth, trust, collective power, disruption, and impact, and their work is focused on revealing underreported angles, building relationships, working in coalition, reframing issues, and creating lasting social and systemic change.
