## Description

Prison Arts Collective (PAC) is a brand that believes in the power of art as a human right and its ability to foster positive change and community. With a focus on expanding access to art for individuals experiencing incarceration, PAC partners with California state universities to bring artistic programs to prisons. Headquartered at San Diego State University, PAC also collaborates with CSU San Bernardino, CSU Fullerton, and Humboldt State University. PAC's programs are rooted in liberatory pedagogy and restorative justice principles. They offer a range of initiatives, including Arts Facilitator Training for incarcerated peer-leaders, guest artist workshops, and multidisciplinary arts classes. Founded by Professor Annie Buckley, PAC works closely with students, faculty, and incarcerated artists to create a transformative environment within California prisons. PAC is sponsored by Arts in Corrections, an initiative of the California Arts Council and the California Department of Corrections and Rehabilitation, as well as grants from the National Endowment for the Arts. Join PAC in their mission to expand access to art and create meaningful change in our communities through creative expression.
