## Description

Prisoners Defenders is an organization dedicated to human rights and pro-democratic advocacy through legal action. Its work focuses particularly on documenting and denouncing political imprisonment and repression in Cuba, while also addressing human rights concerns in other countries, including Turkey, Iran, Vietnam, Pakistan, Syria, Belarus, Bahrain, and Botswana. The organization monitors political-prisoner cases and publishes reports, statistics, and investigations, including research on Cuba’s medical missions and allegations of forced labor. It also shares personal stories and information about political prisoners and their families, and highlights cases involving torture, disappearances, detention, and restrictions on freedom.

Prisoners Defenders provides channels for people to report suspected abuses, including anonymous reporting and dedicated forms concerning political prisoners, dangerousness cases, family separation, torture, repression, and people detained or missing after the 11 July protests in Cuba. Its website offers reports and information in several languages, alongside news, public statements, events, and details about the organization’s mission and team.
