## Description

Proactive Talent is a boutique consulting practice that helps organizations modernize talent acquisition for the AI era. Founded by Matt Staney, the firm has supported companies since 2015, drawing on hands-on experience and ongoing conversations with talent acquisition leaders. Its flexible, direct engagement model offers project, hourly, and retainer-based support, with clients working personally with an experienced practitioner.

The firm helps teams optimize recruiting technology, assess AI readiness, streamline recruiting processes, and select and implement tools designed for adoption. It also develops employee value propositions and employer brand strategies, supported by AI-assisted content systems that help keep career site copy, job descriptions, and social content current. Recruiter and hiring-team enablement includes practical AI training, guidance on ethical use and data compliance, and controlled pilot planning.

Proactive Talent also advises HR technology companies on product and go-to-market strategy, bringing a practitioner’s perspective to their decisions. Its clients have included organizations such as Uber, Siemens Energy, Discord, Calendly, and Boston Consulting Group.
