## Description

PROFLOR is a family-run flower producer and importer based in Barcelos, Portugal, with more than 20 years of experience growing roses. The company began in 1986 and has developed into a specialist rose producer, using hydroponic cultivation in inert rockwool rather than soil. Its range includes roses in varied colours and styles, from large-budded varieties such as Avalanche+® and Penny Lane to branching roses including Bombastic and Miss Bombastic.

PROFLOR supplies florists and wholesalers, selling flowers at its Barcelos premises and offering delivery to the Mercoflores market in Maia or shipment to other destinations. It also commercializes national and imported flowers, subjecting products to quality checks. Roses are selected mechanically and by hand, packed in biodegradable plastic, and kept chilled before delivery to help preserve freshness.

The company emphasizes quality, customer service and responsible production. Its practices include biological pest control, rainwater collection for irrigation and solar panels that generate part of its electricity. These measures support its commitment to more sustainable flower production.
