Project 5K is a non-profit organization that was founded in 2013 with the aim of enhancing community involvement. Created by young individuals for young individuals, Project 5K recognizes the desire of many youths to volunteer but their lack of knowledge on where to do so. Simultaneously, there are numerous events that are in need of volunteers.

In response to these circumstances, Project 5K was launched in 2014. Our objective is to make volunteering opportunities easily accessible for youths and connect them with enjoyable and fulfilling volunteer work to improve their community. By signing up with Project 5K, volunteers receive opportunities directly to their email, ensuring a simple and efficient process for both volunteers and event partners.

We aspire to inspire and connect youths, motivating them to volunteer. Our goal is to enroll over 5000 participants in our youth empowerment program. Since our launch in 2014, we have built a network of over 2,000 participants from more than 150 schools across Ontario, and our network continues to expand rapidly.
