## Description

Manifest is an artistic and educational project that aims to contribute to and enhance Europe's collective memory of the transatlantic trade of enslaved people. The project engages with diverse artists and audiences, welcoming all forms of artistic expression. Through an artistic residency in Budapest/Zsennye, Lisbon, and Copenhagen, called the Artistic Journey, the project empowers artists to reimagine the history of the transatlantic trade from a European perspective. Selected artists will travel to these cities to create art that promotes a creative look into the past collective memory. The project encourages the use of new technologies and personal capacity building. Alongside the artistic journey, extensive research and stakeholder engagement will contribute to a Resources Publication. The journey will culminate in a Final Event in Nantes, where an Award Ceremony and social debate on the topic will take place. Manifest also includes a Consortium composed of organizations like Khora, Les Anneaux de la Mémoire, Pro Progressione, Gerador, and CUMEDIAE, which bring their expertise and support to the project.
