About
Description
Project Medishare for Haiti is a renowned brand with over 27 years of experience in Haiti. Founded in 1994 by Drs. Barth Green and Arthur Fournier, this organization aims to improve healthcare and development services in the country.
They have assembled a team of faculty from the University of Miami Schools of Medicine and Nursing to assess the healthcare situation in rural Haiti and provide assistance. After the devastating 2010 earthquake, Project Medishare immediately responded by setting up a 300-bed trauma and critical care field hospital at the Port-au-Prince airport, treating over 30,000 earthquake victims. They later upgraded and relocated to Hospital Bernard Mevs, making it the only trauma and critical care hospital in Haiti.
While other aid organizations have left, Project Medishare remains committed to rebuilding the healthcare system in Haiti. Project Medishare believes in social justice and the universal right to quality healthcare. They continue to forge partnerships with healthcare professionals worldwide who share their vision.
By donating, volunteering, or fundraising, you can join Project Medishare's mission to create a healthier and stronger Haiti
