## Description

Project Warbird is an aviation-history preservation effort based in Easley, South Carolina. Its mission is to preserve historic aircraft for future generations, educate people about aviation’s past, and honor those who came before. The project focuses on restoring vintage aircraft and supporting other projects pursuing similar preservation work.

A key part of Project Warbird’s approach is finding aircraft parts and learning from them. Its search extends around the world, reaching barns, garages, hangars, fields, and forests in the hope of uncovering components that can contribute to its work. This hands-on effort helps sustain restoration projects and preserve knowledge connected to historic aircraft.

Project Warbird’s featured projects include a Consolidated LB.30 Liberator II and a Vultee BT-13A Valiant. The organization shares updates about its work and welcomes visitors by appointment only. Through aircraft restoration, collaboration, and historical education, Project Warbird aims to keep aviation heritage accessible and meaningful for generations to come.
