## Description

Projeto Albatroz is a Brazilian conservation initiative dedicated to protecting albatrosses and petrels and promoting the health of the marine environment. Its work brings together research, public policy, environmental education, and community engagement. The project shares information about these seabirds, the threats they face, and measures that can reduce harm, including resources for fishers and policymakers. Its research library and publications make scientific findings accessible, while the BAAP portal provides access to Brazil’s National Biological Sample Bank for Albatrosses and Petrels.

Education is a central part of the project’s approach. Programs such as Albatroz na Escola and Albatroz em Casa, along with teaching guides, coloring books, videos, and other learning materials, support educators and young audiences. The Coletivo Jovem Albatroz offers a space for people aged 18 to 29 to engage with marine conservation. The project also runs a visitor center and organizes activities, volunteer initiatives, and public campaigns. Through news, media resources, and its online library, Projeto Albatroz invites communities to learn about and contribute to seabird conservation.
