## Description

Promotion Santé La Réunion is a nonprofit association dedicated to advancing health promotion across Réunion and the wider Indian Ocean region. Established in December 2001, it works with public and private stakeholders to strengthen prevention, health education and therapeutic patient education, while contributing to regional public health policies. The association supports professionals and organizations throughout the lifecycle of their initiatives, from identifying local needs and designing projects to implementation and evaluation.

Its services include methodological advice, facilitation of collaborative planning, and the organization of professional conferences, seminars and study days. It also provides training in therapeutic patient education, motivational interviewing, psychosocial skills, group facilitation, tobacco cessation support and tailored learning. Online resources, practical tools and documentation help practitioners develop their work, including a specialist collection on addictions. Promotion Santé La Réunion also leads or supports projects addressing nutrition, diabetes, physical activity and wellbeing, tobacco use, and psychosocial skills among children and communities. Its approach emphasizes participation, a broad understanding of health, shared responsibility and reducing health inequalities.
