## Description

Propuesta Cívica, A.C. is a nonprofit organization in Mexico dedicated to freedom of expression and the defense of human rights. Its work includes multidisciplinary support for journalists who have been attacked because of their work, as well as support for human rights defenders. The organization provides an emergency support channel and shares information about attacks against journalists through its reporting and figures on the issue.

Propuesta Cívica also develops initiatives focused on journalism, public engagement, and solidarity. These include Memorias que Hablan, Soy Periodista no Criminal, Ética Lab, Historias que Sobreviven, Tejidos Solidarios, and Seguimos Hablando. Its website offers information about the organization, its human rights and freedom-of-expression work, news, press resources, and ways to get in touch. While the site is being renewed to make information clearer and more accessible, the organization says its work continues, including accompanying journalists and human rights defenders in Mexico. The site also invites visitors to subscribe to updates.
