This much-anticipated event has been held every year since the early 1990s on the first Saturday in December. Created by former Mayor Will Kleindienst and a group of dedicated individuals, the parade aims to celebrate the spirit and joy of the holiday season while also attracting tourists to the area. Over the past 29 years, the parade has featured marching bands, performing groups, iconic characters like Mickey Mouse and Snoopy, and of course, Santa and Mrs. Claus. But the real showstopper is the parade's signature floats adorned with thousands of twinkling holiday lights and giant Macy's-style balloons. Thousands of visitors flock to Palm Springs each year to witness this spectacle, making it one of the best local events in the Coachella Valley.
