## Description

The Turkish Psychiatry Association (TPD) is a professional organization supporting psychiatry and mental health professionals across Türkiye. Its national structure includes a central board and committees focused on ethics, professional conduct, media, and the prevention of violence and promotion of gender equality. With branches in cities throughout the country, the association provides a network for members and regional activities.

TPD’s work centers on education, professional development, and standards in psychiatric training. It coordinates educational programs, psychotherapy training, scientific activities, and the Psychiatry Proficiency Board’s examinations, accreditation, and recertification initiatives. The association also organizes national, international, and regional meetings and congresses, including its national psychiatry congress and clinical education events.

Through its website, TPD shares news, public statements, reports, professional guidance, and the journal Psikiyatride Güncel. Members can access membership information, association decisions, and resources related to professional processes. The site also provides event announcements, educational materials, and contact details for the organization. TPD serves as a hub for professional collaboration, learning, and discussion within the psychiatric community.
