## Description

The Professional Soccer Referees Association (PSRA) is a North American association and labor union representing soccer officials working in professional leagues in the United States and Canada. Founded in 2009 by referees seeking a collective voice with the organizations employing them, PSRA is governed by officials and works to improve professional standards and working conditions. Its members officiate in Major League Soccer (MLS), the National Women’s Soccer League (NWSL), United Soccer Leagues (USL), MLS NEXT Pro, and other professional competitions. Membership is open to people currently involved in professional soccer leagues, aspiring professional referees, and retired professional officials. PSRA represents officials employed by Professional Referee Organization (PRO) as Senior Match Officials or in PRO2, and supports members with guidance on post-match issues, including misconduct and disciplinary matters. The association also advocates for referee safety, compensation, travel standards, and a professional work environment. Through collective bargaining, it has secured agreements with PRO and PRO2, while fostering community, solidarity, and connections among soccer officials.
