## Description

The Philippine Social Science Council (PSSC) is a private, non-stock, non-profit organization that brings together professional social science associations and research and instructional institutions across the Philippines. It supports the development and exchange of social science knowledge through programs for researchers, educators, member organizations, and the wider public.

PSSC offers grants, fellowships, research awards, and assistance for international conference participation, alongside training workshops, conference management, and consultancy and project services. Its Social Science Ethics Review Board provides an ethics review service. The organization also convenes the National Social Science Congress and hosts discussions, lectures, webinars, podcasts, and other public programs on social science and society.

Its resources include the Frank X. Lynch SJ Library, a data portal, knowledge archive, journal indexing guidance, publications, policy briefs, and a journal. PSSC also supports research networks focused on migration and children, sharing studies, policy briefs, and related activities. Through membership, knowledge-sharing, and support for research and teaching, the Council helps connect social scientists and make their work more accessible.
