## Description

Paardensport Vereniging Texel is an equestrian club serving riders and carriage drivers on the Dutch island of Texel. Formed as a single association on 29 March 2019, it brings together three established groups: riding club De Waddenruiters, founded in 1929; pony club De Kleppertjes, founded in 1961; and carriage-driving association Tussen Wad en Duin, founded in 1989. The club has around 74 members and offers a broad programme of lessons, competitions and activities for riders and drivers.

Its home and accommodation is Manege Akenburg, at Akenbuurt just outside Den Burg. The association has owned the facility since 2021, and it hosts club lessons and organised competitions. Members also contribute through committees that plan events and other activities. The club’s programme includes events such as the Texelweekend, a combined driving competition and the Kerstbokaal. Paardensport Vereniging Texel provides information for prospective members, as well as details on membership, facilities, arena use and club rules. It is based at Akenbuurt 20, Den Burg, Texel.
