## Description

The Nederlandse Vereniging voor Psychiatrie (NVvP) is a premier scientific association dedicated to psychiatrists in the Netherlands, boasting over 4,000 members, including those in training. Committed to strengthening the profession, NVvP fosters a collective approach to enhancing psychiatric patient care. They provide a wealth of resources, including guidelines, accreditation applications, and educational opportunities such as conferences and continuing education.

The association actively engages in vital discussions regarding mental health policies, advocating for legislative changes, such as the prohibition of conversion therapy. NVvP continues to address challenges in the field, like the ongoing development of care categorization and supportive frameworks for psychiatric practice.

Members can also participate in the NVvP Community, an innovative online platform for knowledge exchange and networking among psychiatrists. Through various events and thematic days, such as the upcoming Cultural Aspects in Addiction Psychiatry conference, NVvP ensures that its members are well-informed and connected, ultimately promoting better mental health care for all.
