## Description

Perseverance Theatre is Alaska's premier regional theatre, dedicated to producing professional theatre by and for Alaskans. With a rich history spanning 45 years, Perseverance Theatre is committed to creating thought-provoking and engaging productions. For their upcoming 2023-2024 season, Perseverance Theatre will present three diverse and captivating shows. They will kick off the season with a revival of the cult-classic musical Hedwig and The Angry Inch, a rock spectacle that promises to be a radical and exhilarating experience. Following that, they will bring Madhuri Shekar's intercultural rom-com A Nice Indian Boy to the stage, exploring themes of family, tradition, and identity. Closing out their season is Indecent, a powerful play by Paula Vogel that follows the journey of a controversial play and delves into complex themes surrounding censorship. Led by Artistic Director Leslie Ishii, Perseverance Theatre is dedicated to presenting exceptional and impactful performances that reflect the vibrant artistry and talent of Alaska. Join them in celebrating their 45th Anniversary Season and supporting the important conversations happening within Alaskan communities through the transformative power of theater.
