The Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee, founded in 1975, is a vibrant and thriving Catholic community that serves the 18 most northwestern counties of Florida. With a rich history dating back to the first European settlement in the region, the diocese is rooted in faith and tradition. The diocese is home to 51 parishes and 5 missions, providing a welcoming and inclusive environment for worshippers. Led by Bishop Wack, the diocese offers a range of services and resources to support the spiritual growth and well-being of its members. In addition to its strong commitment to education with 2 high schools, 7 elementary schools, and 4 early learning centers, the diocese also emphasizes the importance of youth ministry, marriage and family life, and Hispanic ministry. Through various programs and initiatives, the diocese strives to foster a deep sense of community and unity among its diverse members. With a total Catholic population of over 63,000, the Diocese of Pensacola-Tallahassee is dedicated to spreading the teachings of the Catholic faith and serving the needs of its local community.
