## Description

Polskie Towarzystwo Przyrodników im. Kopernika (PTPK) has a rich history dating back to 1875, making it one of Poland's oldest scientific societies. As a nonprofit organization, it operates on charitable donations and grants, with members serving honorarily. The primary mission of PTPK is to promote natural sciences through various initiatives, including scientific readings, conferences, and the publication of esteemed journals. Notably, it produces two historical periodicals: “Kosmos. Problemy Nauk Biologicznych” and “Wszechświat. Pismo Przyrodnicze,” both of which contribute to the dissemination of scientific knowledge. Additionally, PTPK organizes the National Biology Olympiad, engaging high school students in scientific inquiry. The society also offers membership opportunities for those interested in supporting its educational and research endeavors. As a recognized public benefit organization, PTPK invites individuals to contribute 1.5% of their taxes to support its activities.
