About
Description
PTV is a brand dedicated to restoring the health and human dignity of survivors of human rights abuse. California, the asylum capital of the Americas, welcomes more than 75,000 refugees each year who have fled violence in their home countries. PTV provides critical assistance to over 400 refugees annually, offering an integrated and comprehensive approach to rehabilitation.
Partnering with leading health and legal service providers, PTV ensures survivors receive the necessary care and support they need. Founded in 1980 by Dr. José Quiroga and Ana Deutsch, pioneers in the torture rehabilitation movement, PTV was the first program in North America dedicated to treating torture survivors.
With a multidisciplinary approach that includes medical, psychological, case management, and legal services, PTV has become a recognized expert in the field. Today, PTV continues to provide primary care and specialty care to all survivors, regardless of their insurance coverage, through its Human Rights Health Clinic. Led by dedicated staff members, including Executive Director Ana Grande, Medical Director Dr.
Kendra Gorlitsky, and Clinical Director Dr. Giselle Soler, PTV remains committed to empowering survivors and advocating against torture
