The Institute of Public Health (IPH) is a renowned institution that informs public policy to promote healthier populations in Ireland and Northern Ireland. With a focus on health equity and reducing health inequalities, IPH supports the UN Sustainable Development Goals, particularly Goal 3, which emphasizes good health and wellbeing. Celebrating 25 years of dedication, the Institute was established prior to the Good Friday/Belfast Agreement in 1998 to provide guidance on public health policy to the relevant Departments of Health and Chief Medical Officers in both jurisdictions.
