## Description

National Public Lands Day (NPLD) is a signature event of the National Environmental Education Foundation (NEEF), fostering a strong bond between people and the environment. This annual celebration, held on the fourth Saturday in September, is the largest single-day volunteer event for public lands. NPLD offers a chance for individuals to engage in environmental stewardship, with activities ranging from clean-ups to restoration projects in iconic locations like Boston Harbor Islands and Grand Staircase Escalante National Monument.
