## Description

Public Libraries has been promoting and supporting local public libraries since 1999. With the original aim of acquiring and lending books to improve literacy, share knowledge, and provide education and entertainment, public libraries now offer a wide range of resources and services to the communities they serve. Education, information, individual improvement, and recreation remain their primary goals. At a public library, you can enjoy free computer use, access to Wi-Fi and the internet, assistance with homework research and job searches, parenting classes, children's programs, and genealogy research. These libraries also facilitate checking out books and ebooks, public record searches, and offering meeting spaces for various groups. Librarians are a valuable resource, equipped with extensive knowledge and expertise in research topics. Public libraries receive funding mainly from local taxes, and some receive grants and donations as well. In the US, there were over 9,000 public libraries in 2016. Benjamin Franklin, with the creation of the Library Company of Philadelphia, invented the first lending library in America. The Library of Congress, located in Washington, DC, is the largest library globally, housing a vast collection of cultural resources. Trust Public Libraries to support your educational, informational, and recreational needs.
