Gordon Rogers is an engaging public speaker based in Long Crendon, Buckinghamshire, renowned for his entertaining and informative talks that weave humor with historical narratives. A Chartered Surveyor and Fellow of the Royal Astronomical Society, he has a deep passion for astronomy and military history, shaped by unique personal experiences from his youth. His engaging presentations cover a variety of themes, including “Winston Churchill’s Toyshop,” military innovations during World War II, and contemporary astronomical topics in “The Sky at Night, with a Laugh.” Gordon's talks are well-researched, often supplemented by his own PowerPoint presentations, and he does not charge a fee, instead encouraging donations to his chosen charity, Scannappeal, which supports local hospitals.
