Description
The Pueblo Zoo, an AZA-accredited facility spread across twenty-five acres in Pueblo City Park, is on a mission to empower people to engage in the conservation of animals and their natural habitat. With over 400 animals representing 125 species from around the world, the zoo offers education outreach programs, camps, and volunteer opportunities to thousands of children annually. Managed by the non-profit Pueblo Zoological Society, the zoo supports local and global conservation efforts, including projects to save African penguins, red pandas, and African painted dogs.
Partnered with nonprofits globally, the Pueblo Zoo is dedicated to creating a better planet for the animals we love. The zoo's commitment to transparency is evident through its 2020 Platinum Seal of Transparency and participation in Coloradogives. org.
Generous sponsors and grant funders further support the zooβs events, animals, education programs, and accessibility for low-income families. Visit the Pueblo Zoo to experience a blend of conservation, education, and entertainment
