## Description

Purple Day is a global brand dedicated to supporting epilepsy awareness. Founded in 2008 by Cassidy Megan, Purple Day is an international grassroots effort aimed at increasing awareness about epilepsy worldwide. Every year on March 26th, individuals in over 85 countries are encouraged to wear purple and organize events to show their support. Canada is the only country that officially recognizes March 26th as Purple Day through the Purple Day Act. With the goal of helping the estimated 65 million people worldwide who have epilepsy, Purple Day strives to build awareness and promote understanding of this neurological disorder. By becoming an ambassador, hosting an event, or joining the campaign, you can actively contribute to spreading the word about epilepsy and supporting those affected by it. Purple Day is a collaboration between Cassidy Megan and the Epilepsy Association of The Maritimes.
