## Description

Putney Sub-Aqua Club (Putney BSAC) is a friendly, volunteer-run diving and social club based in South West London. Established in 1971, the club welcomes adults who are new to scuba diving as well as experienced divers looking to refresh their skills or rediscover the sport. Training takes place at Putney Leisure Centre, where prospective members can book a £45 Try Dive, with half the cost deducted from the joining fee if they become members. The club also offers pool-based refresher sessions with an instructor for £45. Its volunteer instructors provide training at cost, supporting an affordable, non-commercial approach to diving.

Members can join organised dive trips around the UK and overseas, take part in social events, and use the club’s own diving boat, which accommodates six divers and a coxswain. The club meets on Tuesday evenings for training or swimming, followed by socialising at Hurlingham Yacht Club. Putney BSAC welcomes a range of adult ages and abilities, but cannot currently accommodate under-18s without full supervision.
