## Description

The National Museum of Folk Architecture and Life of Ukraine is an open-air museum in Pyrohiv, on the southern outskirts of Kyiv. Founded in 1969 and opened to visitors in 1976, it presents the architecture, landscapes, and traditional culture of Ukraine’s historic regions, including Polissia, Slobozhanshchyna, the Carpathians, Podillia, and southern Ukraine. Its grounds feature around 300 examples of folk architecture dating from the 16th to 20th centuries. Visitors can explore traditional village homes and farm buildings, along with wells and other features of rural life. The oldest architectural exhibit is a house from the village of Samary in Volyn, dated to 1587. The museum also offers exhibitions, cultural events, research presentations, guided tours, and workshops, providing opportunities to learn about Ukrainian customs, crafts, and regional history. Visitors can plan a visit, check opening hours and ticket information, and find details about current events through the museum’s official website. Located at 1 Akademika Tronko Street, Kyiv, the museum welcomes visitors daily from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.
