## Description

Qallariy Nievería Huachipa is a community-based project focused on preventing and promoting mental health in Nievería, Huachipa, Peru. Its name means “to begin” in Quechua, reflecting the organization’s belief that individuals, families, and communities can find opportunities to start again and grow. Qallariy works across three areas: prevention, promotion, and mitigation. Its activities include workshops for children, adolescents, caregivers, and families; programs supporting women entrepreneurs and scholarship recipients; initiatives on new masculinities; and volunteer and institutional networks. The project also provides psychological care, emotional support, and guidance, and addresses violence through protocols and services such as Mujeres S.O.S. and K’uychi. Testimonials describe how therapy and workshops have helped participants build confidence, manage difficult experiences, recognize violence, and develop healthier family relationships. Qallariy presents its services as a supportive space for people who may have limited access to professional psychological care. The project is based in Huachipa, in the Lurigancho-Chosica district, and invites community members to learn about its work, offer support, and connect with its team.
