## Description

Making Connections Support Services is a Cairns-based provider of independent support work, led by Maria, who describes her approach as kind, compassionate and focused on each person’s well-being and goals. The service supports people with a range of everyday needs, with an emphasis on reliable, person-centred assistance and working collaboratively with consumers.

Support options include domestic assistance, personal care, meal preparation, community access and social support. Maria can help with household chores, showering and getting ready, grocery shopping and cooking, as well as companionship, exercise and community activities. Other services include transport to medical and other appointments, shopping and day trips, employment or volunteer drop-offs, and personal administration. This may involve organising appointments, paperwork and subscriptions, or building fundamental computer and phone skills.

Maria holds qualifications in individual support and community services, and has experience supporting people with mental health conditions, autism and ADHD. Her listed checks and credentials include NDIS screening, a Working with Children Check, a police check, first aid and CPR, and public liability and professional indemnity insurance. Making Connections invites prospective consumers to get in touch to discuss their support needs.
