## Description

Quad Rebuild is a UK charity founded in 2017 by Joseph English to support people affected by spinal cord injuries and those adapting to life in a wheelchair. Shaped by its founder’s rehabilitation experience, the organisation aims to help individuals rebuild their lives, homes, confidence and future, while promoting a more inclusive understanding of spinal injury.

Its support combines personalised guidance with lived-experience mentoring, connecting people with mentors who understand the challenges of recovery and adjustment. Quad Rebuild also helps people adapt their homes for accessibility, drawing on a network of building specialists and supporting access to grants and specialist equipment. These changes are intended to make independent living more achievable and ease the transition from rehabilitation back home.

The charity offers companionship and emotional support to reduce isolation and help rebuild self-confidence. It also supports families, including through financial assistance for travel or accommodation during hospital stays. Through education, practical assistance and tailored support, Quad Rebuild seeks to help individuals and families navigate life after injury with greater independence, resilience and optimism.
