## Description

Quality Counseling is a Connecticut-based private group practice offering affordable, accessible mental health support to Black communities. Founded and led by Kevnesha Boyd, LPC, the practice aims to reduce mental health disparities and provide a safe, affirming space for healing. Its work addresses the effects of trauma, including racism, sexual abuse, incarceration, and childhood abuse, with services designed for adults.

The practice offers online individual and group therapy, with support for trauma and PTSD, generational and racial trauma, LGBTQIA concerns, and incarceration-related trauma. Its services also include Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR), substance use education, meditation, collective healing, and yoga therapy. Quality Counseling emphasizes holistic approaches, including plant-based healing, mindfulness, and movement, alongside therapeutic support. The practice highlights social justice, racial equity, holistic health, and employee wellness as core values. Based in Hamden, Connecticut, Quality Counseling provides information for prospective and current clients about appointments, rates and insurance, and mental health resources.
