## Description

Quantum Intelligence Alliance (QIA) is a research organization exploring connections among quantum physics, computation, life, intelligence, and cosmology. Its work treats these fields as interrelated layers of emergent systems, investigating how principles at one scale can shape or illuminate phenomena at another. QIA’s research spans topics including quantum computing, algorithmic complexity, artificial life, artificial general intelligence, reinforcement learning, and quantum cosmology, with a focus on shared ideas such as information, emergence, and agency.

The alliance also develops and studies practical approaches to quantum circuit design. Its featured project YAQQ is software for discovering optimized quantum gate sets, using novelty search, circuit decomposition methods, and stochastic optimization in the Qiskit quantum simulator environment. QIA describes applications in comparing logical gate sets, designing quantum instruction sets, and compiling circuits for specific processors. Another project, KAN-QAS, applies Kolmogorov-Arnold Networks to quantum architecture search. The work evaluates circuit design for quantum state preparation and quantum chemistry, including noisy scenarios, and reports improvements over MLP-based approaches in fidelity and circuit efficiency.
