Quantum Native creates interactive experiences that make quantum mechanics approachable through play. Its work turns concepts such as superposition, entanglement, interference, and quantum states into game mechanics, reflecting the company’s belief that games offer an intuitive way to engage with quantum science. Its portfolio includes Quantum Chess, a strategy game where pieces can enter superposition and become entangled; Quantris, which brings quantum ideas to falling-block puzzles; Ponq, a fast-paced reimagining of pong; and experimental shooter Bloch Invaders, where players match quantum states while navigating the Bloch sphere. Quantum Chess can be played free in a browser or purchased on Steam, which includes exclusive content. The game supports a Quantum Chess account across web and phone, with mobile apps in development. Alongside its games, Quantum Native develops Quantum Forge, a compiled C++ SDK with Unity, Unreal, and web integrations that lets developers use quantum properties in games. Founder Chris Cantwell has worked on quantum games and outreach with Caltech IQIM since 2014.
