## Description

Queen Hive Farm is a family-friendly horse farm near Chincoteague Island in Assawoman, Virginia, offering trail rides, boarding, horse rescue, and Morgan horse breeding. Its approximately 45-minute trail ride, suitable for riders aged four and up with no experience required, follows a route that is half woodland and half fields. Visitors may spot Eastern bluebirds, white-tailed deer, and wild turkeys while riding quiet, well-trained horses. Pony rides are also available by inquiry.

The farm provides both short- and long-term horse boarding. In autumn, riders bring their horses to stay and ride on nearby Assateague beach. Queen Hive Farm also breeds quality Morgan horses, with two stallions available for breeding through artificial insemination. Its rescue work focuses on finding older horses in need, including horses from auction and slaughter situations, and preparing suitable animals for trail riding.

Guests can also meet the farm’s other animals, including registered Nigerian dwarf goats, Shetland sheep, heritage turkeys, chickens, ducks, and miniature horses.
