## Description

Queensland Forro Festival (QFF) is an Australian cultural event dedicated to sharing the music, dance and traditions of Brazil. Launched in Brisbane in 2026 as the first festival of its kind in Australia, QFF brings together forró enthusiasts and newcomers to experience this lively Brazilian dance and its cultural roots. The festival’s program includes dance workshops, live music and performances, alongside opportunities for community connection and learning.

For its 2027 edition in Byron Bay, QFF plans to welcome the Brazilian band Coisa De Zé and instructors from Brazil, including Leo Diniz, Mardio and Milena. Through these artists and teachers, the festival aims to offer an engaging, authentic introduction to forró and Brazilian culture. Visitors can explore event information, view the lineup and gallery, and purchase tickets through the festival website. QFF also shares updates about the festival and related events through its mailing list. With a focus on cultural access, skill-building and bringing people together, Queensland Forro Festival celebrates Brazilian traditions in Australia.
